Here are just some of the solutions Singlevision can produce for you. No two requirements are the same so we will help you choose the type of documentation that is perfect for your company and the needs of your customers.

It may be that a single solution is what you need, or perhaps your product is best served by a suite of documentation. It’s all part of our service to help you make that decision.

Operating instructions

Ideal for anyone who has to operate a piece of specialist equipment – be it in the home or on commercial premises – these instructions provide back-up to informal post-installation training. The instructions are clear and are supported with illustrations and photographs plus trouble-shooting tips.

If it is not your policy to provide formal support, good operating instructions are essential and have the knock-on effect of enhancing both your product and your company’s reputation.

Assembly instructions

Vital to your customers if your product is shipped flat-packed, these instructions take the customer through the task step-by-step in a visual format and also include a check list of components.

Reference manuals

Typically, these are comprehensive books into which a user can dip for information and so are fully indexed and cross-referenced.

If your product is of such complexity that it must be maintained by a specialist third-party on behalf of your customer, this type of manual is more suitable than basic assembly instructions.

For portability and ease of use, large reference manuals can also be generated in pdf format so that they can be accessed online or from a CD. However, a printed version should be considered if maintenance is carried out away from a third-party company’s premises.

Overviews

Supporting your sales literature, these overviews give a more in-depth view of the particular product you are promoting. They work well for both new and existing clients and enable them, in conjunction with input from your specialist staff, to make informed decisions.

Standards and procedures

As a company grows, so does the need to document standards and procedures. These bring together the wealth of knowledge within a company, help new staff learn the ropes and ensure that everyone is working in the same way to the same end.

Standards and procedures are an ideal way of underpinning your internal quality systems.

Skills books

Your company will undoubtedly have some members staff to whom others always go for information and advice because of their knowledge of a particular aspect of your business operations, product or service.

A series of skills books captures this knowledge so that it can be shared by all and ultimately reduces the pressures on expert staff. Such books can also be used to drive internal training sessions.

Specifications

Technical staff, while highly-skilled and very knowledgeable, frequently have difficulty in putting their thoughts on paper. We can act as the middle-man, making sense of technical jargon or scribbled notes and producing readable, grammatical specifications.

Business processes

You might feel it is time to review all your business processes to check whether there are gaps or overlaps in the way you are operating.

The result is a set of graphical process flows that can be used as the basis of internal procedures documentation.

Multimedia systems

These interactive solutions combine text, sound and graphics and work well for presentations, demonstrations and tutorials.

Cosmetic surgery

You might have all the documentation you need but feel that:

bulletit is out-of-date
bulletit looks old-fashioned
bulletit doesn’t completely fit the bill
bulletyou want to change the delivery format.

Singlevision likes this kind of challenge and can analyse what you have and help you achieve the look, feel and content you want.
