Singlevision - technical documentation project methodology

At Singlevision we believe in making the production of your documentation as pain-free as possible so our methodology is straightforward.
Stage 1

	using the form on our Contacts page
	emailing us at sales@singlevision.co.uk if you want to give more details than the form allows
	telephoning us on +44 (0)1422 370502 if you prefer to talk through your requirements and to ask questions.

If we know immediately that we can’t help you, we will tell you at this stage and try to steer you towards a more appropriate provider. We know that time is money and we don’t like to waste either.

Stage 2

Have an initial meeting with us so that:

	you can explain more fully what you feel you need or would like
	we can show you relevant samples
	we can explain how we work and how we manage the project
	we can talk about our mutual obligations.

Stage 3

We produce a documentation proposal which typically is one of the following:

	a detailed analysis of your needs for which we need to work on site for a few days and which results in a comprehensive project plan
	a simple analysis based on our initial discussions which results in an outline plan.

Our years of working in various industries often means that we have some experience of your type of business and this helps reduce the time we have to spend gathering information.

It is at this stage that we can tell you how much time is involved and therefore how much the work will cost.

Stage 4

You decide whether you want to proceed with all or only some elements from the documentation proposal. Once we have all agreed any revised project plan we will start work when it suits you.

Initially, we need to work on site gathering information from your staff working through your nominated representative. Later we have less of a presence but hold regular review meetings to ensure that the project keeps to its time-scales and continues to meet all your requirements.
